Aurora Borlearis
Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights is a polar experience that will give you shiver and do spontanious shouts of joy!!
Our sun's explosive manner gives us an fantatic performance as soon as the sun let us have dark nights again. More than once have I, together with other locals, been standing with a "steep" neck and open mouth gazing at this unbelievable, almost insane refractions in the dark sky.
Our trips starts after supper from September till the end of April, when the night is dark enough to let us see the faint art of the Northern Lights.
Most hikes goes into the backclountry, out of bound for artificial light and Aurora Borealis can rule the sky. As usual Lofoten Kajakk brings in smaller groups of max 15 persons. Larger groups will have to split up in order to enjoy this fully.
