Day trips in sea kayak
Trollfjord
A furious troll stumbled over a mountain range east of Lofoten. Its axe, we are told, cut vertically into the Raftsund Alps and gave us the Trollfjord we see today. It is around and within this fantastic and mystical narrow fjord we are spending this day. Discovering depth and shallows under the towering snow-covered mountain peaks surrounding this whole scene.
Risvær
An archipelago perfect for ”island hopping”. Between heathery little islands with brooding birds, chalk white beaches and a rich abundance of white tailed sea eagles, ptarmigan, cormorant, seals and porpoises. All of this served in a crystal clear ocean.
Sandsøyan
On the north east side of Gimsøy we find today’s seakayak venue. A small group of islands squeezed between the mighty Gimsøy current on one side an the open NorthAtlantic on the other. Due to the strong current there is plenty of fish here, something that attracts all kinds of seabirds, seals porpoises here. The right spot for those who like seakayaking and photography.
½ day trips in seakayak
½-day trips are run out of Sandvika Camping (if nothing else is planned) and we paddle out into the islands south and west of the bay Ørsvågen. The trip starts with a swing around the bay to get used to the kayak and that the guide can see what you can do in a kayak. We land on an island somewhere along the trip. The shorter tipe lasts up to 4 hours from the pickup til you are back at the pickup point. Adjusting and geting the kayaks back into the cradle is also a part of the trip.
NOK 800,- + pickup and delivery.

Departures and costs
Most days at 10 am, if you are you 4 persons or more we can run a trip for your that suits your travelling plans.
The trips will last about :
Daytrip 7-8 hours included the transfer from our base and back.
½ daytrip 4 hours included fitting out and returning gear.
Price:
Daytrip: NOK 1 350,- per person (pre paid or cash only)
½ day trip: NOK 900,- per person (pre paid or cash only)
In the price, the following is included:
- Transport return to Kabelvåg/Svolvær
- Seakayaks with paddles, PFD and spray deck
- Approved BCU/NPF Guide for the trip
We advise you to bring the following items on our trips:
- Your own lunch.
- Both cold and warm drinks.
- Do not forget suitable cloths and camera.
- It is also a good idea to bring a set of extra clothes :)
