Sea kayak

Our activities focus on imparting knowledge and offer you multiple options to move around at you own pace. It is all built up around bringing all participants knowledge and a hands-on experience to, in confidence, to plan and execute seakayak trips with friends in a near future. Equally inevitable as paddle technique do we have a strong founded focus on culture and natural history for the region we are in and nature conservation is built into everything we do.

You do not need knowledge about seakayaking to enjoy our trips and courses. But it is an advantage to have spent a night or two in a tent and made some food on a gas stow, but we will help and advise you although we are no gourmet chefs. Our seakayaks are single; this enables each person to have the highest learning curve. Our kayaks are all polypropylene it is a kind of plastic that takes a lot of abuse and are stiff/stable enough to endure the toughest situations you can imagine and then some! At our courses we have a maximum ratio of 1:6 (instructor:participant), the same on our trips, this as a safety and educational precaution. We would rarely have groups larger than 10 guides and 2 guides, in this way we can use our landscape in and environment friendly manner. This will ensure that my nephew of 17 can do what I do when I no longer can do this anymore.

General information

On all our courses and trips there is 1 guide pr 6 participants.  A group of friends may bring a 7th participant to join when the group have seakayak skills that fits the intended trip.

During all courses and tours the participants themselves are responsible for their food, tent, sleeping bag and outfitting to manage and complete the initial plan. Each participant gets a list of suggested outfitting for the booked tour or course regarding clothing, food and general outfitting. We have a joint check-out of this before departure on our trips. Often the food needs repacking in order to minimise the rubbish we have to bring back to the skip.

For those whom like to enjoy tobacco; all filter tips and buts are brought back to “civilisation” and be disposed of in an approved rubbish skip along with any other non-biological rubbish produced on our trip.

Our carefully planned and executed tuition on courses and trips are both comprehensive and informative as well as giving you a unique and memorable holiday. We hereby invite you to join us on tours or courses in our wild and unbelievably beautiful Lofoten Islands.
